One painkiller and a breakfast later I recovered from the hangover. Read a book on the rooftop terrace, met a fellow couchsurfer for traditional portuguese lunch, went scouting for a pair of sneakers (no luck today), walked in the sun til I almost started crying (it's so freaking hot), got on a little bus that took me down through narrow streets back to the hostel, read again on the rooftop, went looking for a supermarket, bought som groceries, made a very bad avocado pasta and now I'll just hang out at the hostel.
Here you go, some pictures from Faro.
I flew with Ryanair. A couple I met at the hostel live nearby and know the person who owns the airline.
Casa d'Alagoa - the hostel I'm staying at. It's SUPER nice.
Court yard of the hostel. Where people enjoy their happy hour-beers.
My room! Where I sleep with seven other poeple.
A traditional dinner I had at the hostel yesterday. Pork, potatoes and onion.
Some random but nice street art.
Faro is pretty much a swamp and you have to take a bus or a boat to reach a sand beach.
I like the old house facades with the decorated glazed tiles.
And there are stray dogs. This one looks dead with those creepy white eyes, but it was just sleeping.
And the view from my room just a couple of minutes ago..
